"Greatest Memory of Warren H. Wolf" Facebook Contest
Winner: Greg Schaefer
Congratulations to Greg for winning our contest with the following memory:
"I played four years for Coach Wolf. I wasn’t a very gifted athlete. But I loved football and I showed up every day for practice and I worked hard. And Coach Wolf made it clear that if that’s the dedication you showed, you would be a part of the team. “We’re only as strong as our weakest link boys,” he used to say. And because he didn’t cut, athletically many of those teams had what other coaches would see as weak links. But Coach Wolf invested in kids like me so if they worked hard and showed up, they’d have a place to go and know what it was like to belong. And on those teams, I met some of my best friends, learned lifelong values of hard work and sacrifice, and have a treasure trove of stories and memories I’ll cherish forever. And I can forever say I played for a legend. I’m so grateful to be a Brick kid."
