Meet Tom Gialanella
Trustee
Mr. Gialanella is a graduate of Brick Township High School, class of 1969. He played football for Coach Wolf and attended Glassboro State College (Rowan University) after graduation. While at GSC, he majored in Social Studies and played football. He began his career in education in 1973 teaching history at Brick Township High School. He joined Coach Wolf as an Assistant Coach that same year.
For the next 20 years, Mr. Gialanella coached football, taught, and later became a guidance counselor at Brick Township High School. During his time coaching, he was part of a staff that won six State Championships and 14 Conference Championships and had the opportunity to coach many outstanding young men.

In 1991, Mr. Gialanella stopped coaching and became an administrator for the Brick Township School District. He held the titles of Assistant Principal, Director of Guidance, and later Assistant Superintendent of Schools. In 2002, he was appointed Superintendent of Schools for the Jackson School District and continued in that role until 2013 when he retired. Since then he has served as Interim Superintendent of Schools in Toms River, South Plainfield, East Windsor and finally in that role in Brick Township.
Mr. Gialanella is presently the Executive Director of School Relations for Ocean County College. He is married to a former Brick Township School District teacher, Carol. He has three children and three stepchildren and enjoys his time with eight grandchildren.
